Description

SeeScan has openings for an experienced Electrical Engineer and Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. In this position, you will leverage your experience to design electrical systems that will be used on our next generation of our utility locating and plumbing diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities                                                    

  • Work as a member of a focused team to develop, troubleshoot, validate, and improve analog, digital, and mixed signal circuits and systems  
  • Collaborate with electrical, software, mechanical, and test/manufacturing engineers to successfully bring a product from conception to market
  • Diagnose and repair electronic circuits down to the discrete component level
  • Recommend comprehensive upgrades to optimize solutions using cutting edge parts, equipment, and processes
  • Advocate for and demonstrate the validity of your designs using mathematical and/or electronic analysis tool suites
  • Work with various electronics test equipment, e.g., oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer
  • Develop test plans and reports

  • Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and moving targets, while always working with a sense of urgency
  • Abstract “outside the box” thinker
  • Collaborative team player with strong communication skills
  • Independent learner
  • Senior-level role: capable and willing to mentor other engineers


Desired skills and experience

  • Experience in an electronic design and test role
  • Hands-on experience in schematic capture and PCB layout design; Altium experience preferred
  • Experience with tool suites such as LTSpice, HyperLynx, Python and/or Matlab
  • BS in EE, CE, Physics, or related
